Communication, Arts and Media Magnet

The 2016-17 school year will introduce newly redesigned magnet programs at CPHS; Communication, Arts & Media (CAM) and Engineering, Environmental & Veterinary Sciences (EEVS).

The centerpiece of CAM Magnet will be the new $5 million BAIT studio complex and its dazzling array of state-of-the-art equipment. The CAM program will offer students a choice of pathways to prepare for college and careers in such diverse fields as photography, video production, video game and app design, computer programming, and graphic arts. CAM will replace the current World Languages, International Business & Trade magnet.

Our interdisciplinary and project-based learning model offers CAM Magnet students a choice of three pathways of sequential courses:

  • Digital Media and Arts
  • Communication Technology
  • Programming and Coding
If you are interested in careers in

CAM Magnet offers you the hands-on experience with industry-standard technology to achieve your goals.
Collaboration with the BAIT Academy (Building Assets through Integrated Technology) gives CAM students access to arts-oriented field trips, internships and externships, artist-in-residency programs, and specialized workshops with industry professionals.
