The Health Career Academy has formed a partnership with existing programs at L.A. Works and Red Cross. These alliances afford our students the to opportunity to enroll in certification programs such as First Aid and C.P.R., Athletic training ( both through Red Cross) and Certified Nursing Assistant Training. Local business partnerships allow students to participate in mentorship’s and internships with transportation to and from the sites provided.

The Canoga Park Health Academy offers all of the course requirements for entrance into the University of California emphasizing health careers as part of its curriculum. We have the support and cooperation of L.A.U.S.D. to allow paraprofessional and certification classes to be substituted for some graduation requirements. Our students have the ability to take single semester courses blocked into classes that can be completed in ten weeks to accumulate needed credits in less time. This means that more time can be spent participating in internships and mentorship’s. We make it interesting with field trips job shadowing, science labs, and great teachers who care about you and support you.
